The big pieces, 42 inches and over. This is the size that changes a room rather than decorating it, and the size these paintings were made for. Every painting in the collection comes this large.

Which walls take a large painting
- Above a sofa. A standard sofa is about 84 inches wide, so 60 inches of painting is right and 42 is the least that will not look lost.
- Above a bed. A queen bed is 60 inches wide: a 42-inch painting suits it. A king is 76 inches: go to 60.
- Above a mantel, a sideboard or a long table. Let the painting run two-thirds to three-quarters of the width of the furniture under it.
- A wall of its own. A square at 48 or 53 inches holds a wall alone and centers easily.
- Church foyers, lobbies and reception walls. See Church & Chapel Wall Art and Wall Art for Christian-Owned Businesses.
Hanging a large canvas
Put the center of the painting about 57 to 60 inches from the floor. Above furniture, keep the bottom edge six to ten inches above the back of the sofa or the headboard. Every canvas comes with a sawtooth hanger already on the top bar; for the largest sizes, put the hook into a stud or use a proper wall anchor rather than trusting drywall alone.
Questions
Can I see it on my wall at full size first?
Yes. Send a photo of the wall, straight on, to hello@christianmodernart.com with the painting's name and the width of the wall or the sofa. I will put the painting on your wall at the size that fits and send it back. No charge.
Between two sizes, which should I take?
The larger one. Color needs room. The size guide has every size and the rule for every wall.
Not sure which one?
Six questions, about two minutes, and three paintings shown in a room like yours.
