The first Gospel: the heavens opened at the Jordan, Jesus on the water in the storm, and the eye that fills the whole body with light.
- Window of Light, Matthew 6:22: "thy whole body shall be full of light."
- Celestial Vision, Matthew 3:16: "the heavens were opened unto him."
- It Is I, Matthew 14:27: "Be of good cheer; it is I; be not afraid."
Every painting here is one verse from Matthew, painted by Mark Lawrence in color and light, with no lettering on the canvas. If one of these is the verse you live by, this is where to start.
